Amanda Benchley

Amanda Benchley is an arts filmmaker, journalist and the co-author of five books: Artists Living with Art( Abrams,2015), a look at the private art collections of some of today's leading artists; Our Shoes, Our Selves (Abrams,2019), profiles of 40 inspiring and significant female leaders and achievers; and Open Studio (Phaidon,2020), a behind-the-scenes look at contemporary artists at work and VINEYARD FOLK: Creative People and Places of Martha's Vineyard. She recently directed and produced the feature documentary PRETTY DIRTY: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF MARILYN MINTER and her videos have been shown at The Smithsonian Institute, The Chicago History Museum,and The New York Historical Society. She has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal,The New York Observer, Galerie and Introspective Magazines.
