Paula Fletcher lives in Liverpool, UK, with her husband David and children Mae and William.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Writing from John Moores University and is a qualified level 3 teaching assistant in specialist support for teaching and learning.

Paula enjoys travelling, but also loves pizza night with the family.

About Doughnut’s Adventures

The story behind the story

Paula’s son, William had a little penguin toy as a buddy in year one. He called him Doughnut, because he loves pizza and doughnuts. He would talk about Doughnut as they walked home from school and his face would light up. They would talk about Doughnut and the different characters he met as he traveled around the world.

Paula started to write down their ideas and ‘Doughnut’s Adventures’ was born.

William continues to create characters and story lines for the Doughnut’s Adventures series.

In 2025 she founded a community interest company - Write To Be Me C.I.C

Providing storytelling workshops and publishing for neurodivergent children and adults.
