Crystal Wyatt

For more than 20 years, Crystal Wyatt has focused her personal and professional efforts on the research and service needs of families affected by health disparities, including sexual health, diabetes, trauma, community violence and incarceration. She is a native of Philadelphia and utilizing “lived experiences” as her educational foundation, has supported various community-based research projects locally and across the country for the top research institutions in the city. She is also the founder of a social justice prison transportation service and the creator of a trauma-informed empowerment program focused on women’s mental, physical and financial health, providing tools on how to cope with the trauma of their loved ones’ incarceration. She is also the host of the Real Resilience P.W.L. Podcast, a platform for women to share the incarceration journey.
