Mildred Borbon Osias

Mildred Borbon Osias is a writer, a spiritual life coach, mentor, teacher, trainor, discipler, musician, poet, songwriter, artist, conference speaker and a licensed minister in Denmark.

She has been serving in church ministry in a leadership position for over 35 years, in the Philippines and Denmark. She and her husband, Raymond, have pioneered the FCC community churches in Europe in 1998. They started in Copenhagen. In 2005 they pioneered FIC Oslo, then, FCC Madrid in 2009. There are now 10 FCC churches in major cities in Europe and 2 in the Philippines (www.fccc-family.com). Raymond and Mildred have two sons and a lovely daughter, who passed away.

Mildred was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Her father was a colonel in the Philippine Army and later became the VP of security in the Philippine National Bank. Her late mother was a teacher in languages and home economics. She has an elder brother, Emmanuel Borbon, who is also an author, an associate pastor and a licensed engineer working in the IT industry in Sydney Australia.

Mildred was an entrance and university scholar and finished a pre-medical degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. She placed first in the Philippine National Licensure Exam in 1987. She responded to God's call to full-time ministry and finished cum laude in a second baccalaureate degree in Theology from Bethel Bible College. She later went back to UP to pursue an MBA.

She has a passion for discipleship and has authored most of the discipleship materials being used in their churches. She sat on the board of Kirken i Kulturcenter, the Danish-international church where FCC was connected. She later became the Discipleship Pastor of all their 5 congregations - Danish, International, Thai, Filipino and Spanish. She established mentoring, small groups and discipleship training in these congregations.

She has been a conference speaker for several years. Her missions experience is also quite extensive, from Asia and in Europe. Her travels to 45 countries have widened her insight and perspective in life and missions. Being passionate for discipleship, she considers being a small group (lifegroup) leader and mentor, without a break, for more than 35 years, her most significant contribution in ministry.
