Folkert Castelein

I, Folkert Castelein MSc, studied biology and geology at Leiden University in The Netherlands, followed by business administration and economics, and philosophy. Started my career at the university, worked in the early 80‘s in education and after 1986 in the Aircraft Industry, and in the 90‘s in IT business consulting at Cap Gemini.

In 2000 I started working for a subsidiary of Ernst & Young USA in Europe and since 2006 I am an independent consultant developing projects for investment and delivering training in financial management, strategy and leadership. Since 2012 with a focus on projects in Africa, specifically in Rwanda.

Early 2015, I started re-organizing my library. I noticed that I missed some new information about science, religions and ideologies, philosophy, over the last 30 years. I had questions such as 'what is the meaning of the, in my eyes, cynical, asocial arrogant politics of conservative USA Republicans? What is the meaning of Brexit? What about populism? Why are we a witness of aggressive geo-politics of States and of trade-wars. Are we still thinking as 500 years ago?'

We cannot continue our globalizing civilization with our growing population on Earth.

We must change. I decided to start my study, I came to comments and conclusions, and the result is my new book, The Tragedy of Dogmas. Get involved. Visit www.tragedyofdogmas.nl
