William Watt

William Watt is an Australian writer, photographer, and brand strategist whose work focuses on golf course architecture and destination storytelling. He is the founder of Contours Agency, a specialist creative consultancy that partners with leading golf clubs and resorts worldwide.

William's publishing career began with Caddie Magazine (2016–2022), where he established a reputation for thoughtful, design-led golf journalism. Since then, he has worked closely with some of the game's most respected institutions, including Royal Melbourne Golf Club, The National Golf Club, Kingston Heath, Peninsula Kingswood, Te Arai Links, Barnbougle, and Sand Valley.

His client roster reads like a who's who of global golf destinations, and his photography, sometimes captured on medium-format film, has helped define the visual identity of clubs across Australia, New Zealand, and North America.

CONTOURS draws on William's extensive access to world-class courses and his relationships with prominent figures in golf architecture, including contributions from Tom Doak, Mike Cocking, Lukas Michel and other leading voices in the field. The book offers readers an intimate look at what makes great courses endure.
