Ellen Rice, RN, BSN, BA, MBA (1972- ) was born in Manhasset, New York, and grew up in north central Indiana. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1994, and assisted Dr. Ralph M. McInerny as assistant editor of Catholic Dossier magazine and the Fellowship of Catholic Scholars Quarterly. From there, Ms. Rice earned an MBA from Indiana University South Bend, and joined the content team with the Catholic Schools Textbook Project, and worked as a contractor with many publishing companies as an editorial and sales writer, project manager and business SME. Meanwhile she enjoyed a long association with St. Augustine's Press, South Bend, Indiana, as an editor, author, and proofreader. An advocate of lifelong learning, she holds an ADN and BSN-C from Bethel University, and actively works as an RN.
She is interested in American and global health and policy, advocacy for the underserved, spirituality, lifelong learning, the arts, nature and family.
