Heather Hamilton was born in Asheville, North Carolina on October 4, 1961. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1986 with a degree in Creative Writing. Heather’s father was a director of the Asheville Community Theater and her uncle, Murray Hamilton, was a famous character actor. Heather grew up acting in many plays and musicals and holds a great love for the theater. She loves to run and has run several marathons and many other 10k’s and 5k’s over the past 40 years. She was a college scholarship tennis player.
Her first published work is a memoir entitled “Unsung”. It is the story of the time in her life when her teen-aged daughter was diagnosed with mental illness.
Heather is also working on two screenplays, one which includes many of her experiences working in the Waste Industry for over 20 years.
