Anna Wing-bo Tso

Anna Wing Bo Tso is an award-winning children's writer and editor raised and educated in Hong Kong and England. Honoured with numerous accolades, including Child's Eye Award 2022 (2nd prize), Eric Hoffer Book Award 2020 (digital book 2nd prize), the Incipere Awards 2020 (honorable mention), the Purple Dragonfly Book Awards 2019 (2nd prize), Munich's Internationale Jugendbibliothek fellowship 2019, as well as nominations for the Montaigne Medal 2020 (finalist), the Wishing Shelf Book Award 2020 (finalist), and the Debbie Alvarez Memorial Award 2019 (shortlisted), she was invited as the featured author in the 9th Hong Kong International Young Readers' Festival. She is also a frequent keynote/plenary speaker for universities, and a storyteller-cum-reading club facilitator for all 7 major public libraries in Hong Kong.

With more than 15 years of full-time research and teaching experiences in English language, linguistics and literature in the tertiary education sector, she has a publication record which includes 9 funded research projects with successful completions and over 50 publications, including edited volumes, 3 special issues in journals, 3 academic books, an award-winning children’s series, and dozens of refereed book chapters, peer reviewed articles in indexed journals and proceedings across Asia, Russia, Europe, the U.K., the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Her books have appeared on the selected resources/reading lists of Fordham University, San José State University, The Ohio State University, The University of Illinois, The University of York, The University of Sydney, and the Korean International School in Hong Kong.
