Sunita Singh

Sunita Singh hails from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Presently She is working as Assist. Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh. She is post graduate in economics from Banaras Hindu University. She loves to write poetry and short stories in Hindi and English, ghazals, nazm, doha, geet, navgeet etc. She likes to read more about the great Hindi Literary Legends like Mahadevi Verma, Maithilisharan gupt, Suryakant tripathi nirala etc. Besides them, Gulzar, Faiz Ahmed, Ghalib, Amrita pritam and so on.

Till date, her 16 books have been published in both languages hindi and English. These books include poetry, song, gazhals, short stories, children's books. Three books are in publishing process including a historical fiction. She has been awarded with many prestigious awards including Sumitranandan Pant Puraskar (cash Prize of one lack), Soor Puraskar (cash prize of 75000/-), Sahitya Praikrama Samman, Indian Woman Achiever Awards(long list, literature category) by Asian Literary Society, WEAA Woman Achiever Award, 2020, ALS Sagar Memorial Award, 2020 for children's literature, (Certificate of Excellence), ALS Wordsmith Award, 2020 for hindi poetry (Certificate of Excellence), Shades of Dream, season -1 poetry contest, 2020 in hindi kavita catagory ( Cash prize- Rs.2000/-), The FSIA Real Super Woman Award, 2020, Tejaswini Woman of India Award, Bharat Award for Short Story etc. She is the winner of many poetic contests too.
