Marky Playne lives between India and Britain.

When in India he lives on the jungle coast of Karnataka, not so far from the ancient hidden city that inspired Kipling’s Jungle Book.

When in London he lives on a boat, often accompanied by wild animals he has rescued. And yes, this is how he discovered that animals do indeed talk. :)

Marky Playne is his pen name for children’s books.

He has written a travel thriller under Mark Playne called ‘3 Seconds in Bogotá’.

He has also won over 90 awards for his films.
