Srividya Balakrishnan is a doctor and author living in Chennai,India..She was born and brought up in Delhi.She believes poetry resonates with everyone.It can pull us out of the worst times of our lives .It sinks in ,lifts up and raises our thoughts beyond the mundane.Children who are exposed to and learn to enjoy poetry have found their best friend for life,as she has.She believes kids take to poetry as fish to water.
