Monet Hambrick

Monet Hambrick is a travel writer, mother of two, and owner of The Traveling Child. The Traveling Child was created to inspire parents to travel the world with their kids while providing tips to make it easier and affordable. Her motto is “if kids live there, kids can visit” and you’ll often find her family exploring destinations most don’t consider “kid friendly”.

After working in the travel field for 3 years Monet realized the underrepresentation of inclusion and diversity in the space. She noticed that if you typed family travel in Google images you wouldn't see pictures of families that looked like hers. So she decided to do more than just create family travel content for the internet but to bring it into homes through her book series The Traveling Child Goes to with the first installment being The Traveling Child Goes to Rio de Janeiro.

Monet’s book has been featured on POPSUGAR and Travelnoire and is also sold at Target.

She earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida and then went on to earn a Master’s degree from Georgetown University.
