Joe Hillhouse

Welcome to my author page. My name is Joe Hillhouse, a person who appreciates the beauty and dynamic nature of the outdoors. I like to take long walks in the woods, sit beside a clear stream, and breathe fresh air after a summer storm.

I enjoy photographing all things in nature and writing about them too-everything-from a picture inside a water drop to the brilliant flash of lightning that helped create it. I take photos of birds, bees, bobcats, and wildlife of all kinds that live in the woods where I do.

From childhood I fell in love with nature. My grandmother said I was a "natural naturalist." Grandpa taught me the fine art of photography. Later, I completed a course with The National School Of Conservation specializing in Conservation Of Natural Resources. After working a long time, I went to college and graduated with a BSBA degree. However, I never expressed my concerns in writing about how we as humans have affected all life on this planet.

Now, through my photographs, I show the beauty of nature and explain to the reader how to photograph nature subjects in my detailed photography book "Photograph Nature Close To Home." I have recently published another book that tells about the people and wildlife that live in the valley where I live. Part of the book will address environmental and social issues elsewhere in the world. I think you will like "WALK ALONG DRY CREEK."
