William Hanna

I'm originally from Belfast, and though I left in 1975 I haven't yet lost my Belfast accent. However it has been softened by many years in exile. I've lived in Donegal, Dublin, Edinburgh, France, Belgium, Barbados, Cameroon, Tanzania, Uruguay, Bangladesh and Ghana. My first book ‘Voyages with my Grandfather’ is a family history set in Ireland and India in the first half of the 20th century. My new book ‘The Corncrake’s Welcome’ is a sequel focussing on my parents’ generation and my own upbringing in the divided Northern Ireland of the 1960s and 1970s

N.B. My name is William D. Hanna and I have just no relation whatsoever with another author called William Hanna who has written controversial books about the Middle East.
