Richard Cassidy

Richard Cassidy is a white, straight guy trying to figure out how he can better exemplify the words of Matthew 22:36-40 (the greatest commandment), the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance in dealing with racism in America. After a recent birthday and reflecting on his life likely being halfway over, he realized had been on the sidelines for far too long. It took the images of George Floyd’s final 8 minutes and 46 seconds for him to come to this realization. And his first step to get into the game was to write Greatest Of These Is Always Love…Racism In America Through The Eyes Of A Privileged White Straight Guy.

Richard has been married for over 20 years to his beautiful partner Betsy. They are the proud parents of their son, Rick. Avid dog rescuers, they are currently the parents of 2 four-legged children – Mugsy and Sophia.

He previously authored Accountability…A Noun Or A Verb and Accountability…A Noun Or A Verb – Teen Edition and is a proud graduate of Clemson University.
