Joanne Mekolichick

Welcome to my page!

I am a Board Certified Life Coach and Author. I am the owner of Ideal Life Coaching, LLC, and I work with individuals and small businesses throughout the greater Atlanta area. I received my Bachelor's Degree at St. Mary's in Moraga California, and my Masters of Psychology/Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. As a Mental Health Therapist, I worked with clients who had both a chronic and persistent mental illness, as well as an addiction. I helped open a Safe Haven in Arlington Virginia, before moving to Georgia to work at a county facility. Following my work at Fayette Counseling Center, I helped open a school for children with special needs in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. I was the Executive Director of the school for five years.

When my daughter was born, I took 5 years off of work to be a stay-at-home mother. When she entered Kindergarten I began to explore my options for returning to work. I found my passion in Life Coaching. I wanted to be available to both my daughter and my career, so I opened my own business, which has allowed me to be involved at her schools, and present for her sports events and art functions while pursuing my career.

I love both coaching and writing, and feel so blessed that I can do both.
