Richard Brett

Richard Brett was born in 1951 in Epping, Essex. He graduated from what is now the University of North London with a degree in Pure Mathematics. He worked for the Home Office for 28 years before leaving on his 50th birthday to live in Belgium and turn an old farmhouse into a restaurant and B&B. He married his Belgian partner in 2004 and became a Belgian citizen in 2017 as a result of the Brexit vote, which he considers to be the utmost folly. He lives happily in the countryside with his wife, dog and cat.

He has played guitar and bass since the age of 13. He recently released a second CD of his own compositions which can be found at https://richardbrett.bandcamp.com/releases. He is regularly invited to sing and play in the restaurant at the end of the evening.
