Randy Hoffman is a fifth-generation Bismarck, North Dakota resident with a strong passion for the area’s rich history. His family has resided in Bismarck since the 1890s, when Bismarck was still in its infancy. Randy’s great-great grandfather, Nils Lovin, and his sons were leading local building contractors for over fifty years, constructing such iconic structures as Saint Mary’s Church, the Wards Building, numerous residences, and ongoing projects at the state penitentiary and Fort Lincoln (now UTTC).
Randy has been involved in website development and management for more than twenty years, including his Bismarck-centered website, BisManCafe.com, since 2007. Content featured on that site has been sourced and published in numerous other works.
In addition to his dedication to Bismarck history, Randy possesses more than a decade of successful marketing experience. Randy is employed with KFYR-TV as the Digital Solutions Director, and is a freelance graphic designer, photographer, website developer, musician, content creator, and consultant through his company Hoffman Creations.
