Lisa Higgins

Lisa Higgins writes fanciful and dramatic stories with irresistible, misunderstood heroes and outspoken, stubborn heroines. As a child, she loved reading under the covers with a flashlight until the wee hours of the night. Although Lisa has always had a vivid imagination, she pursued life before finding her passion for writing and spinning tales.

With years of experience under her belt, she had the desire to help other writers with self-publishing, proofreading, and editing. Although good, she wanted to become excellent and is now double-certified in editing.

Born in South Florida, Lisa adores eighty-degree weather, palm trees, and the ocean; yet, being raised near the Great Smoky Mountains—God’s Country—she has a tender spot for Tennessee and its surrounding beauty. Lisa hates winter, drinks too much coffee, is a music enthusiast, an avid bookworm, adores animals, and diet coke.

She lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her young, handsome son, Marshall, a spoiled Dachsweiler (Winnie dog/Rottweiler) named José, and three bossy cats: Maggie, Romeo, and Milo. Lisa also has a beautiful daughter, Kari Jayne, a sweet son-in-law, Daulton, and an adorable but naughty grandbaby, Hadleigh Rae, who calls her Gigi.
