Kate began dancing at age four. When she was young, she dreamed of moving from the upstate New York town she grew up in to New York City to dance on Broadway. Though her dreams changed, she never stopped dancing. Kate has been teaching dance and yoga to preschool and elementary school children for more than 20 years with her business, Creative Kids Dance & Yoga. Through her many experiences came the idea to write a children's book, Rosalie and Porkchop's First Ballet Class. She had so much fun writing the book that she decided to create a whole series and Creative Critters Adventures was born.
Soon after she began the Creative Critters series, she wrote her first short fiction book, Tabitha, followed by Jenna, both part of The Dance Diaries series for ages 8 and up.
Kate has more books planned for both the Creative Critters Adventures and The Dance Diaries series, so be sure to visit her website and www.katedebiase.com or follow her on Instagram @creative_kids_books.
