Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson is an experienced chief executive, managing director, board member and editor-in-chief with more than 30 years’ business and leadership experience in the content creation, broadcasting, media, communications and digital sectors.

He has held senior leadership roles at national and international level including Sky News, Five News, UTV Northern Ireland and ITV.

He now runs Beech Hill Consultancy - www.beechhillconsultancy.com - a consultancy specialising in business, content and platform strategy specifically working with the boards and C-levels leaders of major international businesses.

He is also the CEO of the Isle of Media, the national development agency for the Isle of Man digital and creative industries. For more than a decade he was managing director of the ITV region in Northern Ireland – UTV - and represented UTV on the board of ITV Network.

He is also Managing Director of Paul Yates Art - www.paulyatesart.com - and an Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalyst, the Northern Ireland Science Park.

He sits on the Royal Television Society’s Centre’s Council and is a founder member of the Irish Film and Television Academy. His programming has won Baftas, RTS’s awards and New York Television Festival Awards.

He’s a published contributing author, media and business commentator and currently lives in Switzerland.
