Sally A. Raymond

Sally A. Raymond's first book, "The Son I Knew Too Late: A Guide to Help You Survive and Thrive", is about her firstborn, brilliant son Jon, whose tragic suicide at 23 occurred halfway through her licensure as a psychotherapist. Lost in grief, Sally became her first client, then began a retrospective to find Jon's true stories, the ones she as just a Mom obviously missed, that somehow took her superstar to suicide. That quest took over 28 years and the help of many earth angels to finally find and frame his stories so that others could be his beneficiaries, to live long, survive, thrive and triumph. Readers say it's "The new essential survival manual for everyone".

Sally is the mother of two equally amazing sons, suicide survivor, longterm Marriage & Family Therapist, an emotional intelligence expert, communication & speaking coach, and inspirational speaker. Every year for over 20 years, she, by teacher invitation, coaches both at-risk and GATE high school juniors in emotional intelligence and speaking skills. She has helped cofound two nonprofits: a) Children's Path Programs, dedicated to the empowerment of all youth, and b) Freedom4Youth, teaching communication & leadership skills to incarcerated at-risk juveniles to instill new prosocial identities, abilities and educational skills foundational to being free and fulfilled, trusted and contributing members of society.

Even at 80, Sally continues to practice therapy, write, teach and speak as an eternally passionate, inspired and storied native of Southern California. She remains a sought-after featured speaker on both national and international podcasts discussing what needs to change and how in order to restabilize, restore and protect every human's inalienable rights to "freedom, equality and justice for all" as our individual and collecitive birthright.
