Candace Petty Smith

Candace Petty Smith is a native of Sanford, North Carolina. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Carolina Central University. She has worked as an elementary school counselor for nearly 20 years and loves to encourage and empower children to be their best. In 2019, she published her first book, "Someday...," a story of a young boy with dreams of becoming a professional athlete. Candace plans to continue creating stories that provide motivation and confidence in children and will also serve as a resource for parents and educators.
