Thomaļ Serdari

Thomaļ is a trusted business advisor, speaker, author and teacher in the field of luxury, a concept she applies to strategic thinking in business and design practice. She has been practicing in that space since 2009.

Originally trained in design, she studied Media at The New School and later Art History at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU followed by Corporate & Quantitative Finance at NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business. She has been teaching at NYU since 2004 and at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business since 2012. She is the Academic Director of the focused Fashion & Luxury MBA at Stern.

Thomaļ is the owner and Chief Ideator at Brand(x)Lux, a brand strategy firm that has been helping clients launch, grow, and manage their brands across industries. She loves exploring the relationship between art, design, culture, and contemporary luxury as well as envisioning the future of these industries.

She is also the producer and host of Populuxe: Stories of Desire, a podcast that explores the staying power of objects in our lives and how they amplify various types of desire. You can listen to Populuxe episodes on all major podcasting platforms or directly on its website.
