ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Janet Metz Walter grew up in Queens New York. She realized very early in life that she wanted to write.

Throughout her career in various social service agencies, she was involved in writing local newsletters and professional articles, as well as writing and producing shows in camps and local community productions.

She also has been a travel agent, world traveler, and Mah Jongg teacher.

Several years ago she joined her husband in his e-commerce jewelry business which led to the idea and creation of "The 2 Carrot Ring and Other Fascinating Jewelry Stories," finally realizing her lifelong dream.

Since writing the book Janet also contributed memoirs to the books "Realiteen: Reflections on Growing Up," "Feeding the Flock," "Finding Family," "London: Smokes, Blokes and Jokes of Foggy Town," and "Rome: Centuries of Stories of the Eternal City" for the new Red Penguin anthology series, and hopes to continue writing.

As people hear about and read "The 2 Carrot Ring..." they have been telling her their own jewelry stories, in hopes that they will be included in a sequel someday.

Janet has already done zoom presentations to women's groups talking about her book, and having participants talk about their own jewelry stories, and she is involved in mentoring workshops for new authors.. She is available for other zoom and live group presentations and book signings.
