Nancy is passionate about helping caregivers navigate their role. This comes through her experiences caring for a premature son, a foster child, grandparents, and her mom and dad. She was a primary caregiver for her parents; her mom had cancer and other physical challenges as she aged, and her dad had Lewy body dementia. Nancy seeks to better the lives of caregivers and their loved ones through her writing and speaking.
Nancy's first book is a memoir, "Dancing with Lewy," telling the story of her experience as a caregiver for her dad, who was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia. Her second book, "Remarkable Caregiving," is a compilation of stories from six caregivers who were thrust into unplanned circumstances and emerged wiser and more resilient.
A lifelong resident of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, she and her husband raised two sons and continue to contribute to their communities. Nancy owns her own company, Grace's Message, where she connects to caregivers, sharing resources on her website and through caregiving partnerships.
