Tracy Taylor Smith

Driven by a passion for empowering people towards career and economic advancement, Tracy Taylor Smith founded Taylor Smith Consulting in 2006. In just over a decade, Smith has grown her award-winning staffing and consulting agency into a multi-million-dollar business with offices across several U.S. cities. Her Fortune 500 clients gush about the consistency and quality of Taylor Smith Consulting’s service. In 2017, TSC earned the distinction of being the only minority-owned firm to ever have provided staffing services for the Super Bowl, the World Series, and the Phoenix Open in the same year.

During her 20-year tenure at the Harris County Toll Road Authority, Tracy’s ingenuity and reliability catapulted her up the ranks to several leadership and managerial positions. These positions included being a Legislative Liaison and Director Violation Enforcement. Houstonians can thank Tracy for not having to wait in line to pay tolls, as she was a member of the team that blazed a trail in implementing the electronic toll violation EZ Tag system in Harris County. In addition, Tracy co-authored the tolling industry publication, “Implementing a Violation Enforcement System.”

Tracy’s accomplishments have been recognized in publications such as USA Today, CNN Online News, and the Houston Business Journal.

Moreover, Tracy obtained her Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix. She is also a Houston Community College Alum, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science Technology. Aside from this, Tracy holds certifications in Project Management and Leadership from the University of Houston.

Tracy is a native Houstonian, where she lives with her husband and children.
