Sean Loone

Sean Loone is a Roman Catholic Deacon working in the Archdiocese of Birmingham. He has spent much of his career teaching in a variety of schools and colleges combining this with lecturing part-time at Saint Mary’s College Oscott, the seminary for the Archdiocese. Currently he acts as chaplain and Religious Education advisor to a number of academic establishments including Our Lady of the Wayside, his home parish, where he is also the Catholic Life governor. His academic interests, on which he has published many articles, include Biblical studies and Christology. His most recent publication was a book called, ‘When Love Came Down - Finding Christ in the Sunday Gospels of Advent and Christmas.’ He also has extensive pastoral and sacramental experience combining this with a ministry dedicated to proclaiming God’s word through both preaching and teaching the scriptures. He is married with three sons and is currently working on a new project, which aims, this time, to explore ‘Finding Christ in the Sunday Gospels of Lent and Easter.’
