A.D. Patton was born and raised on the southside of Chicago. Attended Neal F. Simeon High School, lettered 2 years on the varsity football team and finished ranked third in his graduating class. After high school, attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and was a member of the football team, a four-year letterman, an All-Big Ten selection, and also achieved a B.S. and Masters Degree in Advertising.
I began writing poems in elementary school and it wasn't until after college that I compiled enough to self-publish my first book entitled, "Nocturnal Scriptures." Writing has always been a passion and if I get it right my message will get you to think, laugh and occasionally shed a tear.
