Kate MacInnis

Kate MacInnis is the author of newly released Distant Heart Sounds – a ghost story with a sense of humor. She has loved paranormal books, movies, TV shows, and mysteries since she was a little girl growing up in Metro Detroit.

She is frequently asked why she chose the paranormal genre in which to write. “Everyone has a ghost story, even if they won’t admit it right away. It’s a common thread for all of us. Besides, how do you know they don’t exist? You can’t see germs either and you know they’re real.” Before becoming a novelist, Kate was a newspaper features journalist, textbook editor and fundraising writer for a Michigan hospital system.
