Timothy Bult

Timothy Bult writes a crazy mix of genres, from politics to romance to science fiction. He was born in the mountains of British Columbia to Dutch immigrants. He grew up skiing, trying to read a book a day, and taking school very seriously. After a year in France for a Master’s in Computer Science, he completed a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence research at the University of British Columbia. He did industrial AI work at Bell-Northern Research in Ottawa for three years, then returned to BC to work at MacDonald, Dettwiler & Associates (MDA), in systems engineering for various governments around the world. After 27 years based in Vancouver, visiting China, Israel, most of the United States, and pockets of the Middle East & Europe, he moved to the US.

Timothy's hobbies including coding a personal AI, traveling the world, and trying to keep up in power yoga, Tai Chi, piano and guitar. He worked at large companies managing global business transformations. While much of his writing is either classified or proprietary, he is delighted to be writing for the public as a second career. His first novel was Online Book Club book-of-the-month in July 2020.
