Wayne Watkins is a retired engineer living on the shore of Lake Panasoffkee in central Florida. During his working life, he attained a muscled left-brain lobe, and his right side withered to almost nothing. Since retirement, he has abandoned logic and is trying to resurrect the artistic side - writing poetry, short stories, and a novel, producing sculpture, taking photographs, and other such nonsense.
He was raised on a farm in central Florida and skipped several grades in grammar school. The resulting age difference with his peers in high school, combined with a rigorous farm chore schedule, resulted in the poor development of social skills. At least that is how he tries to explain his shortfalls in this area.
