Andrew Shannon

Andrew was born in Adelaide, South Australia, some time in 1974. After reading The Lord of The Rings provided to him by his father at age 8, he developed a runic codebook and distributed it to his friends so that classroom notes could be passed without fear of decryption by the teacher. From here stemmed the insatiable appetite for science fiction and fantasy, with books being devoured at the rate of one a day(at least).

Finishing high school satisfactorily, he entered a Bachelor of Applied Science, Majoring in Physics. This was trudged through for a year and a half until he turned up to an electronics exam at 2pm only to find that it was actually at 9am. Taking this as a sign, he put study on hiatus and travelled Europe for 2.5 years, basing himself in Edinburgh. Unable to extend his visa there any further, the party was over and it was time to return home where he completed a double degree in Commerce and Economics, and gained entry into Mensa, the exclusive club for know-it-alls.

A master of procrastination, it took some time before the book idea mulling around in his mind came to fruition. 3 years of sporadic writing, followed by a year of nothing, followed by getting into gear and publishing his first novel “The Exquisite And Timely Death Of God.” And here we are…
