Michelle Owusu-Hemeng

It’s Michelle Hemeng! aka “Get-me-live!” Sport enthusiast, BAMA lover, Dallas girl, Dallas World giving you the low-down dirty truth about today’s most popular sports. I am a North Texas University graduate with a bachelors degree in Sports Broadcasting/Journalism and Sociology. I have completed a number of successful internships with Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers for ESPN, Pro Player, Heart of the Game, and Radio One. I have also worked with a number of athletes including Deion Sanders, Kobe Bryant, and others. I am passionate about giving back to my community through volunteer work and servant leadership. I’ve also worked with Boys and Girl’s Club, Mission Arlington, Buckner Children’s Home, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and also have experience as a substitute teacher with Arlington ISD.

Mission:

My professional goal is to obtain employment with a mid to major sports news agency or university in sports broadcasting and journalism. My personal mission is to be a living example for young African-American girls to believe that through hard work and determination it is possible for them to tear down stereotypes of today’s society and achieve any goal they set their minds to. I would also like to open an orphanage in the Arlington area to shelter and educate children in need.
