E. L. Brooks

Having received the light of True Poesy from the heavenly muses, E.L. Brooks established himself in the promised land of Indiana to create a lasting literary patrimony. Despite an almost complete lack of marketing and commercial success, the world has already been permanently transformed by the reception of his books, being the beginning of a new Golden Age of melodious nonsense and mystical seriousness.

A single father of 5 children, he plans to use his infinite free time to become the most important author in 400 years, and to be declared the Dante of the American post-Republic.

E.L. Brooks works medieval revivalism into futuristic fantasy narratives, laboring to recover a tradition in which poetry was more tied to popular storytelling than to academic introspection, self-expression, or experimentation. He believes the classical epic and medieval romance remain the exemplary models for today, encompassing all of reality from the pettiest of human themes to the heights of divinity, and making verse readable and interesting for people who normally would laugh at the prospect of sitting down with a book of poetry.
