Stefano Macrillò

Stefano Macrillò (Macerata, 1962), is a writer and musician, has worked for thirty years in the communications sector (Mediaset Group); he lived in Macerata, Salerno, Versilia, Madrid, Venice, Milan and Florence.

Fascinated by Hispano-American culture, he graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures (Spanish language) at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of Pisa with a thesis on Cervantes' "Novelas ejemplares". With his university studies came the first publications in specialist journals.

He was seduced by the travel reports drawn up during the geographic discoveries of the '4 /' 500, hence the publications of articles and essays (among others we remember: for L'Universo, "Cristoforo Colombo, lo sguardo all'ultimo orizzonte"; "Scoprirsi nello scoprire"; "La scoperta del Brasile nella Lettera di Pero Vaz de Caminha"; for Intraprendere, "Un ulisside fa rotta verso la conoscenza", and in relation to his musical interests "Sul cammino degli Inti Illimani").

He keeps the course with "the gaze to the last horizon", oriented towards further knowledge and arrives at introspection with the collections "Frammenti di déjà vu" - Tales (Italian and Spanish edition) and "Senza equilibri né simmetrie" - Poems (Italian edition). Thus he crowns his dream of sailing the seas of intuition to get closer, as a listening sailor, to the emotional states of the journey, to self-discovery.
