Allison Leigh Stevens

Allison was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan. She currently lives in Michigan with her husband where she enjoys hiking, reading, playing with her grandchildren and boating. She's a semi-retired psychologist and in this book and on her blog writes about empowering women and helping them get free from abusive controlling relationships.

She absolutely adores dogs, but hasn't had one since her sweet Lely died a year and a half ago. But she loves dog sitting for her best friends dogs and has fostered through the Humane Society. She also loves the ocean and wants to move to a salty shore someday. If you ask her, she'll tell you that she has the best husband, kids, grandkids, and friends in the world and she's grateful for every new day.
