Karen Stephenson

Karen Stephenson is a professional writer/researcher, wild food educator, and chartered herbalist. She has lectured for schools, a multitude of community groups, and is a sought after speaker for many notable events including the International Herbal Association. She has been interviewed on national radio, has been written about in a variety of media and has appeared on television.

Karen is a certified Master Naturalist (Lakehead University), has an S.S.W. (High Honors with Distinction), and has taken courses in nutrition, holds a diploma as a Chartered Herbalist and certification as an Acute Canine Herbalist. In addition to being a member of American Botanical Council and the Ontario Herbalist Association, a few other memberships she holds (and volunteers with) are with the Toronto Mycological Society, the North American Native Plant Society, Canadian Author’s Association, and the York Simcoe Naturalists.

Her main passion is teaching people about healthy eating by integrating wild food into their daily diet twelve months out of the year, even throughout the winter months. Her YouTube channel and Facebook page is: EdibleWildFood.com.
