Ron Cook is a nature lover and captivating storyteller. As Doctor of Psychology and author, Cook combines his psychological training, entrepreneurial skills, and technological expertise to weave a story based in part on science, before asking readers to make the leap to a world of imagination. Ron is Director of the Cook Nature Preserve on the Wekiva River in Central Florida where he studies black bears and other animals. An honors graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Cook is a former university professor and Dean. His first novel, Dog Dreams: Fact & Fantasy, follows a team of dedicated canine researchers from concept to funding a formal research study on the dreams and emotions of dogs. His latest work, Suicide Squirrels, asks readers to consider what might motivate seemingly sweet, docile gray squirrels to become suicidal maniacs, running directly in front of unsuspecting motorists.
