I was born in Carbondale, PA, about twenty miles north of Scranton (for fans of The Office). I developed a love for Shakespeare and Dante in high school, then studied English Literature at The University of Scranton, where I received a BA in English in 2002. I stayed at "the U" and received an MA in English in 2005.
After my wife and I got married in 2006 we moved to Lancaster, PA. I've taught English Composition at Harrisburg Area Community College for over ten years, and am a mostly-stay-at-home-dad for our three boys.
I still love Shakespeare, Dante, Chaucer, Poe, etc. I'm writing a series of children's books based on these authors to help kindle a love for them in young readers. Other back-burner projects include some Civil War historical fiction, biblical fiction, and at least one book on why Santa Claus is so great.
