Even when we have the urge to write within us, sometimes life just gets in the way and bouts of inspiration come with a flash and like the glow of a lightening bug, they're gone. Thus had been the author's fiction writing attempts for many years.

Sometimes it is tragedy which releases the words and allows them to flow and keep coming. Sometimes it's the recovery which does the trick.

The author lost through death, his love of fifty years. They were meant to grow old together but that was not to be. But, God in His Grace and mercy sent a beautiful widow to him. She became his inspiration and his wife. Some events in our lives are God directed and their meeting and coming together as husband and wife was one such event.

Now their story had to be told. The author had received numerous requests for that after he had shared their story with others who themselves had suffered loss through widowhood.

The first book in this series is their story in novel form. A work of fiction,, but within the fictional story is their story. Set in a Steampunk world, a world where two people who have lost their spouses and who battle loneliness find each other and are given a second chance to live and love again.

Harris Wimberly and Anna Forth are the two who against odds, find each other and they know, virtually upon their first meeting that something is about to happen. Something beautiful and long lasting. Thus the creation of the book 'A Ship Called Abigail.'

But no story stands by itself. Others within their own sphere of acquaintances have stories to tell. Thus one book is not complete unless the story continues. Now the story continues with 'Voyage of Abigail.' That sequel to the story is followed by two more, 'When Love Finds Hannah,' and finishing the four book 'Legacy of Abigail' series is the concluding novel, 'An Empty Quiet Place.

But there is more. Two more novels (not related to the series) are, 'Mister Weatherspoon's Unfortunate Clock,' and 'Miss Penny's Wedding Dress.' A single non-fiction book by the author, 'God Gave Me You: God's Design for Your Marriage,' is a faith based marriage guide for newlyweds or soon to be married couples.

The author lives with his wife Patsy in North Port, Florida.
