Donna Poole

Donna knew she’d flunked another of Mr. Tedeschi’s history tests, so, to fill the rest of the class period, she flipped the test over and wrote a story on the back. She did flunk, and her heart sank when she saw “See me” scrawled at the top of the paper.

“I read what you wrote,” Mr. Tedeschi said. “You’re going to be a writer someday. Just do me a favor; don’t try to write any historical fiction!”

Her history teacher's prediction came true. Donna has sold more than 3,000 articles, short stories, and curriculum items.

Donna lives in rural southern Michigan with her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and their four cats. When she isn’t writing, Donna loves spending time with her family, church family, and friends. She enjoys camping, a crackling campfire, and a good book. She also loves gardening and cooking. She’s a wife, mother, grandmother, and has been a country church pastor’s wife for more than forty-five years. Donna is a brain aneurysm survivor and is currently battling cancer.

Donna's writing goal is to encourage others and help them smile through tears. She wants to share God's goodness with the world. She is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers.
