Alessandro Galtieri, born in Bologna (Italy) in 1969, has been a professional barista since 1991.
Owner of the well-known Aroma café - in Bologna, with his partner Cristina.
Since 1996 he began a journey of awareness of coffee as a quality drink and of great attraction, like great wines.
He studied by attending tasting courses and starting to offer single origins in espresso in Italy since 1996.
After meeting Cristina, he was able to create his own Specialty project, the AROMA café, in 2001, a place of great reputation that first introduced a real list of blended coffees in Italy, with a single Arab and robust origin, in collaboration with various roasteries, thus acting as an independent café. Coffees were offered in various extraction methods.
Since 2005, Alessandro approaches the Specialty Coffee Association and joins it, and shares it in principles of excellence and product culture.
He achieved the professional level for both Barista Skills and Brewing and in 2014 he became AST SCA TRAINER.
He appears in various television programs, holds numerous workshops and seminars.
Compete in official competitions and become two-time Italian Brewers Cup champion.
He participates twice in the Brewers World Championships in Belo Horizonte in 2018 where he is haunted by bad luck, and then in 2019 in Boston, where he ranks 3rd in the world in the Brewers Cup.
He writes the Barista's Ability manuals foundation, intermediate and professional to support SCA ITALY with receipts.
In 2019 he becomes Content Creator for the Brewing SCA module contributing to the contents of the official education program.
In 2020, he proceeds to update the manuals and begins to publish ABILITA’ DEL BARISTA as a self author and writes the first English version BARISTA REFERENCE BOOK.
