Lisa Stringer is the wife of Doug Stringer, the Founder and President of Turning Point Ministries International and the Founder of Somebody Cares America/International, a network of organizations impacting their communities through unified grassroots efforts.
Lisa homeschool her now twenty-two year old daughter who has releases two Christian E.P.’s under her guidance. She travels alongside her husband as they minister to many around the globe, ranging from those of the persecuted church, to those suffering in the aftermath of human tragedy such as the Haitian earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. She and her husband have been regular guests on various television programs that air throughout the world. Lisa has a heart for the less fortunate, widows and orphans. She served on the Board of Harvest Worldwide Ministries, an orphanage in India as well as having served on a board for an AIDS Hospice in Uganda. Lisa enjoys the opportunities where she has been able to also interpret for her husband as they minister throughout Central and South America.
In 2015 her husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma cancer. Lisa documented the experience and plethora of emotions in a book entitled, “God Did Not Do This To Me, Finding Hope, Courage, and Faith to Face Our Toughest Challenge.” She shares the emotional journey thought the various seasons of the diagnosis, treatment, and subsequent healing. Lisa, through her personal journey, brokenness and experiences, is uniquely gifted to bring hope and healing to those who may feel overwhelmed by the heartaches and challenges in life. She resides in Houston and often travels with both her daughter and husband as they minister together around the globe.
