Andrew N. Wegmann

Andrew N. Wegmann is Assistant Professor of History at Texas Tech University, where he teaches classes on the Early American Republic and the Atlantic World. He is the author or editor of several books, including Met by the Love of Liberty: History and Identity in Americo-Liberian Memory (2026), An American Color: Race and Identity in New Orleans and the Atlantic World (2022), and French Connections: Cultural Mobility in North America and the Atlantic World (2020), winner of the Wilson Prize for Canadian History. A native of New Orleans, he lives in Lubbock, Texas.
