Frowa Schuitemaker-Hartsema is a professional speaker, all-round educationalist, and founder of the company Powerful Presentations. Together with her daughter Charlotte, she is the creator of the P-IQ Method. With this method, they have mapped out clearly and simply how to speak effectively using slide presentations.

When Frowa was 20 years old, she was already teaching 18-year-olds. This is where her interest in learning began. In the ’90s, working as a trainer in the corporate world, she was present at a lecture in which a professor convincingly showed that adults forget what they learn at a presentation within 2 weeks. For her, this was reason enough to start her search for how presenters can get their message across with lasting results.

She is convinced that by speaking in alignment with how our brain functions, we can get significantly better results when giving a presentation. Brain research increasingly shows why educational principles work in daily practice. Whether it is about clearly stating the purpose of a presentation or consciously involving an audience. The more the participants are activated and involved during a presentation, the easier it will be to keep the attention on the presentation and the message will be better remembered.

It is time, according to Frowa, that more professionals who share their expertise while giving a presentation take responsibility for the learning process of their audience.

While teaching her presentation skills programs, she discovered that many professionals find it difficult to use slides in a successful way. Slides were mainly used as a cheat sheet instead of tools to strengthen the presentation. That is why she and her daughter have developed their powerful method to, not only design and give a presentation, but also to upgrade an existing presentation without much effort.

Frowa lives with her husband in the middle of the Netherlands. She loves to spend time with her family. She also enjoys walking with her dog through the woods around her hometown Veenendaal.

Due to her active role in various speakers' associations, she has traveled all over the world. She has spoken in the Netherlands, Belgium, Surinam, Austria, New Zealand, and Namibia. Because of her travels, she was also able to interview colleagues worldwide about how to achieve more when giving a presentation.

She likes to share her knowledge and experience with a wide audience. In her opinion, it is important to think beyond "Death by PowerPoint", because now is the time for inspiring presentations that make money instead of losing it.
