Victor H. Cuartas

I was born in Cali, Colombia, South America. I previously taught Global Missions & Church and Ministry at Regent University for more than ten years, and currently serving as Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies at Columbia International University.

Regarding education, I hold a BS in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad del Valle in Colombia; two degrees from Regent University: M.Div. in Missiology and a D.Min. in Leadership & Renewal Studies, and earned a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies/ Sociology of Religion at CIU (Transferred from the Oxford Center for Mission Studies in the United Kingdom).

The most recent book that I wrote is "Hispanic Muslims in the United States: Agency, Identity, and Religious Commitment" (Wipf & Stock Publishers). Additional books include "Pentecostalism in Colombia," in Global Renewal Christianity, Vol 2 Latin America, (Charisma House), "Empowering Hispanic Leaders,” and "Capacitando Lideres Hispanos” (Wipf & Stock).

My wife Isabel is also from Colombia, and we have been married for 26 years. God blessed us with an amazing daughter; her name is Eliannah. I am grateful to God for my family and their unconditional support and prayers through the different seasons.

We have been involved in pastoral ministry, church planting, and global missions for more than twenty-five years. I am actively involved with Crossover Global, a church planting organization that desires to see God glorified by providing gospel access through the planting of multiplying churches among unreached people groups.

God is faithful and has allowed me to serve in different capacities. I enjoy teaching, preaching, researching, networking, and mobilizing people toward the Great Commission as a way of fulfilling God’s calling—to teach Biblical principles that transform people’s lives. I am passionate about theological education and partnering with different denominations and organizations to advance the kingdom of God.
