Donna Keel Armer resides in the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina with her husband of 43 years. Ray sees to it that she is fed and clothed, as she sometimes forgets the necessities when she's writing. When she's not writing, you will find her at the Pat Conroy Literary Center where she will welcome you and provide you with a grand tour. Her writing inspiration comes from her world travels, her love of good food and wine, her personal experiences and from her characters who chat incessantly about their roles in each of her mystery books.
Ms Armer has written numerous magazine articles and short stories on travel and food. When she's traveling, she writes a travel blog. She is the author of Solo in Salento: A Memoir which has been translated into Italian as Un’americana in Salento with a book launch in Southern Italy. She has written three book in the Cat Gabbiano Mystery Series: The Red Starfish, Moringa~Tree of Life and One Note Murders. She is currently working on the fourth book in the series. Ms Armer graduated with honors from Mississippi University for Women with a double major in psychology and social sciences and graduate studies in theology. Her first job during high school was a gofer for a furniture company and her last position before turning to writing was president of the hospitality business owned by Donna and her husband Ray. She’s a former board member of Friends of the Library, a member of Sea Island Spirit Writers, and a docent at the Pat Conroy Literary Center. Donna and Ray split their time between their forever home in Beaufort, South Carolina and their beloved Italy.
