Noah M MacKay

Born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, in 1997, Noah Matthew MacKay was raised in eastern North Carolina since 2000. In 2005 he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of eight.

MacKay started a hobby of creative writing in 2013 (at the age of fifteen) and keeps up with it ever since. As a novelist, MacKay wrote five books from his fantasy series titled Age of War between 2016 and 2020. Since 2015, Noah MacKay also writes poetry in the German language. His noteworthy poetry publications are in the following collections: a “best-of” collection of his 2015-2019 poetry and autobiographical account Einfach ich (Simply Me) in 2020, and the latest collection Verwandt (Akin) in 2024.

In addition to writing novels and poetry, Noah M. MacKay wrote books in various field of theoretical and mathematical physics. Between 2020 and 2024, he wrote six first-edition volumes of the series The Theory of Physics, along with the English and German versions of Quantum Particles of Gravity – both in 2021. Alongside his physics books, MacKay wrote the English and German versions of the book Germany in the Twentieth Century.

Academically, MacKay graduated magnum cum laude from East Carolina University (ECU) in 2020 with bachelor degrees in physics and in German studies. In 2022, he graduated with a master’s degree in physics, also from ECU, his concentration being in theoretical particle physics. Publications include a journal article based on his thesis, an encyclopedia article on Weimar Republic-era poet and satirist Erich Mühsam, and a selection of manuscript preprints. MacKay currently studies Astrophysics for a Master of Science degree in Germany, at the Universität Potsdam. In the future he plans to obtain a PhD in physics and become a university-level professor.
